As the global movement to end economic abuse gathers momentum, the International Coalition Against Economic Abuse organised a parallel event in New York at the United Nations' Commission on the Status of Women - the largest annual gathering on gender equality and women's rights.

A panel of experts, made up of our co-founders and US-based member explored what economic justice looks like in practice — from prevention to responses to long‑term recovery.

The discussion was wide-ranging, covering financial, legal, and social responses to economic abuse, skilfully facilitated by Pamela Zaballa, ICAEA Steering Committee member.

What stood out out most was the energy in the room - the real sense that change is possible when we come together across sectors.

The conversation is just beginning and we will keep pushing forward.

A link to a recording of the event will follow shortly.
